2 CORINTHIANS: Power Perfected

Power in Weakness

POWER PERFECTED

August 27, 2023

Main Scripture: 2 Corinthians 13:1-14

Additional Scriptures: Ephesians 2:13-14, 2 Corinthians 10:3-6, Psalm 18:2-3

POINTS:

  • Narratives: the story we tell ourselves about why something has happened.

  • Our broken reasons why inform our “no reason why”.

  • OTW Core Value: Breaking down the walls between me, we, and Thee.

  • There is always a need behind the narrative and that need is LOVE.

  • There is one true narrative and it is the story of Jesus.

  • We break down walls by believing God is who He says He is, He will do what He says He will do, we are who He says we are, and through Him, we can do what He tells us to do.

  • Our false narratives are replaced by the truth of what God has to say, put on repeat

  • The walls of our false narratives come down when we live in truth and love, by faith, Together.

  • Our individual narratives affect our corporate narrative.

  • When our false narratives are replaced with the truth of Christ we are hidden in a fortress of His unfailing love and faithfulness.
