Fear Not: Persisting in Prayer

FEAR NOT

HOPE (Persisting in Prayer)

April 14, 2024

Main Scripture: Luke 18:1-8, Luke 13:12-17

Additional Scriptures: Genesis 3:10, 1 Thessalonians 5:17, Ephesians 6:18, Philippians 4:6, James 1:2-4, John 10:10, Luke 18:2-5, Romans 8:19-25, 1 John 3:6

POINTS:

  • We defeat fear together by anchoring in hope, attaching in faith, and driving out fear with love.

  • We are surrounded by the decay of sin, the atmosphere is filled with fear and satan’s vultures are circling.

  • Jesus tells us to pray and not give up when the vultures are circling.

  • Hopelessness is the fear of lack and it leads to an anchorless life.

  • Persistent prayer anchors us and gives the enemy no way to move us (1 Thessalonians 15:58).

  • Prayer is the filter that cleans the sin-filled air and attaches God’s presence to fear-filled situations.

  • We must pray our legal rights as God’s children.

  • The widow is mightier than the vultures that are circling her situation because she has the law on her side.

  • To pray your legal rights you must:

  • Have a relationship with Jesus Christ as your Savior.

  • You must forgive those who have hurt you.

  • You must know your legal rights.
