The Path

Main Scriptures: Gen 3:1-3, Psalm 1, John 10:9-10

Additional Scriptures: Gen. 2:16-17, 3:10-11, Luke 22:32-33, 39-43, Matt. 7:13, John 14:6, Rom. 10:17, 1 These. 5:16

POINTS:

  • Satan gains power through our disobedience.

  • A victorious life is a life filled with supernatural power, divine coincidences, and heavenly meaning.

  • “wicked” one who has been brought to trial and been found guilty.

  • Satan is the accuser of the brethren. Every time we enter into accusation, we are listening to wicked counsel.

  • “sinner” someone who is bent towards sin and sinful decisions litter their lives.

  • “scoffers” someone who now actively seeks out sin and belittles and mocks those who choose the victorious path of Christ.

  • Satan convinces us to use illegitimate methods to meet legitimate needs, once we do, we hide in shame.

  • Jesus is the law of the Lord outlined in Psalm 1. He is the victorious path.

  • To delight in the Lord means to enjoy Him.

  • “meditate” describes the sound of low voices murmuring or muttering as one reads Scripture.
