The Unexpected Gift
Main Scripture: Luke 1:26-38, 2:8-20, Matthew 2:1-2
Additional Scriptures: John 1:1-5, Ephesians 5:27, Isaiah 42:16
POINTS:
First Gift: Nothing is Impossible with God.
When God wants to do something He can transcend logic to do it.
Mary’s doubt led her to submission, while Zachariah’s doubt led him to unbelief.
Just because something is illuminated doesn’t mean that we will understand it.
Faith requires us to believe even when we don’t understand because we trust that God’s ways are higher.
All of us are going to experience some things in 2023 that we won’t understand, yet God is with us. Will we let His illumination lead us to surrender or unbelief?
Second Gift: Suddenly’s & Behold’s
God likes to show up in our suddenly’s
Suddenly’s will scare us unless we behold Christ’s salvation.
God has given you and me the gift up suddenly and behold and it’s wrapped in the most protective way imaginable.
When we receive God’s gift of suddenly’s and behold’s we too will be protectively wrapped so that we are free from blemish, spot, or wrinkle.
The Gift we Bring: Our Worship
The Wisemen traveled for a year to worship Jesus.
Are you willing to get uncomfortable to bring Jesus the worship He is due?
When we worship Jesus, He in turn orders our steps.
