(It’s time to get salty and turn on the Light!)

Main Scripture: Exodus 20:1-17, Matthew 5:13-16

POINTS:

• The law was designed to build a Kingdom of Priests.

• Salt preserves. Christians are called to preserve the earth.

• Salt flavors. Christians are called to bring the flavor of Christ into every situation. #atmospherechangers

• The world’s definition of salty is to be exceptionally bitter, angry, or upset (the opposite of Kingdom Salt).

• When Salt is mixed with other stuff, it loses its unique taste. The salt becomes tasteless.

• To become tasteless salt means to lose our Christian influence in the world.

• Christians are to be light switches.

• To be a light switch means that we practically, faithfully, and extravagantly love others the way that Jesus loves us.

• Christians are to labor alongside the world, helping others, and as we do the Holy Spirit labors alongside us.

• Our labor will always include prayer.
