2 CORINTHIANS: Power in Love
Power in Weakness
POWER IN LOVE

Main Scripture: 2 Corinthians 12:11-21
Additional Scriptures: 1 Corinthians 9:9, Deuteronomy 25:4, 1 Timothy 5:18, Matthew 8:20, Galatians 5:16
POINTS:
Love is truthful: Paul is honest yet humble about why he had to go on “Boasting”.
Paul defended himself earlier in his letter because he loves the Corinthians so much and doesn’t want to see them swayed and led away from the faith.
The Corinthian church had not offered to help Paul financially in any way, yet he loved them just the same.
Love is sacrificial: Paul expresses his love for the Corinthians by comparing his relationship to them as a parent to his children.
Most parents will sacrifice whatever they have to for their children to be safe, well, and in comfort.
Love seeks the Best for the Loved Even at the Diminishing of the Lover.
A Pastor’s job is as shepherd-to care for and protect the flock.
As we grow and mature in Christ we should become more and more like Jesus, who was always about His Father’s business and only did His Father’s will.
