RESILIENT: The Assurance of Abundance
RESILIENT
The Assurance of Abundance
Mother’s Day May 14, 2023
Main Scripture: Isaiah 49:1-16
Additional Scriptures: Proverbs 13:12
POINTS:
Hesed: An attachment form of love.
The Jews look at the promise that God is going to bring Salvation soon and say, “Lord, I don’t need help soon, I need help now”.
Internal hypocrisy: We have head knowledge and believe the promises of God, but our hearts tell us something different.
Like the Jews, we see the ruin of the temple as a sign that God’s love has left us.
Inside: Anxiety, discouragement, and depression
Outside: Unanswered prayers and insurmountable challenges.
If we don't find a way to take mind knowledge and make it heart transformation, we will steal self-acceptance and love from other sources.
As we steal self-acceptance and love from other sources, we begin to build our lives around them. We place idols inside the temple of God within us.
God designed mothers to neither physically nor emotionally forget their children.
All mothers will forget, but God never does. He is completely devoted to you.
If we want to work the knowledge of God’s devotion from our head to our heart, we must look at the cross and see Jesus’ love for us in His feet and hands, and side. Our names are engraved there.
