POINTS:
We fix our faith by fixing our eyes on Jesus.
Prayer: Connecting with God through conversation
Christians should live out of an Amen.
Amen: I tell you the truth.
Jesus uses the term “amen” 99 out of the 129 times it's used in the NT - it was translated to verily, assuredly, truly, and I tell you the truth.
Jesus uses the word amen before He highlights a very important truth.
Our amens fall flat because we aren’t fixing our eyes on the truth when we pray.
Prayer should be about connecting with God and should never be about performing for others or based on our self-righteousness.
Babbling: you think you are the doctor.
Prayer is more about listening than it is about talking.
Fasting should be a regular occurrence in the life of a Christian.
One primary purpose of fasting is to reset our spiritual appetite.
Fasting was our first way of honoring and connecting with God.
Fasting is a spiritual workout for people who are serious about their race.
The enemy doesn’t want us fast, he wants us slow.
Fasting is praying with your body.
Fasting may feel similar to grieving.
Fasting is fixing our focus on God’s Kingdom & Righteousness.
Fasting is not flexing or forcing.
