THE WILDERNESS: Leaving Egypt

The Wilderness

Leaving Egypt

February 11, 2024

Pastor Mitch Boese

Main Scripture: Exodus 14:1-6, 10-14

Additional Scriptures: Exodus 14:15-18, 31, John 16:33, Acts 1:4-8, 4:23-31,

POINTS:

  • When it’s time to leave you may think your troubles are over - THINK AGAIN.

  • Being free from one situation does not mean you are free from life’s troubles. But we can place our hope in Jesus during those times of trouble.

  • God works everything out, but not usually in the way that you think He will.

  • Frequently, we expect that God will save us from various circumstances, but instead, we ought to ask ourselves, "In what way can I behave in this situation to bring honor and glory to God?"

  • It’s easy in times of trouble to return to what is familiar, even if it’s bondage.

  • The believers didn't pray for themselves and their safety, they prayed for God to show Himself and receive glory.

  • God’s ways are not our ways, but He often wants our cooperation.

  • Your talent is God’s gift to you; how you use it is your gift back to God.

  • God builds our faith in Him during our transformation from bondage to freedom in the Wilderness.
