“Yay, it’s you!”

Main Scripture: Matthew 28:16-20

Additional Scriptures: Matthew 7:21-23, John 15:5, Acts 1:8

POINTS:

• Do we want to be celebrated or do we want to be loved?

• Commission: to formally arrange for someone to do work for you.

• A Disciple: someone who has placed their faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.

• True discipleship is built on a relationship with Jesus and not religion.

• We are to GO (Going)

• The Great Commission is not “Come and See” it’s “Go and Get”.

• We are to Baptize new believers.

• Baptism identifies an individual with Jesus through a public profession of faith and brings them into fellowship with other believers.

• We are to Teach new believers:

• What God says through His word, how to do what God says through example, and how to go and make more disciples.

• We are to “Go” first to our Jerusalem’s (our immediate family)

• We are to “Go” next to our Judea’s and Samaria’s (our friends, extended family, workplaces, and communities).

• God will not waste a witness!
