FEAR NOT
Fighting the Good Fight of Faith Together!
April 7, 2024
Main Scripture: Romans 8:31-39
Additional Scriptures: Romans 12:2, Hebrews 6:19, 11:1, Psalm 42:5, 1 Timothy 6:12, 1 John 4:18, Galatians 6:2
POINTS:
Fear can come dressed as doubt, stress, control, lack, negativity, guilt, shame, and depression.
God heals our fears by applying hope, then faith, and then love.
Hope is an anchor.
To set down anchor when we are triggered we must practice remembrance. Remembering God’s faithfulness and His word.
To fret means to be gnawed by worry, remembering lies instead of truth.
Faith is an active attachment to a hope-filled life.
Codependence is characterized by excessive emotional or psychological reliance on a partner.
Faith is a fight. Faith fights for attachment to God and others.
Consumer Christianity is shallow attachment.
Perfect love drives out fear.
Love is practiced by giving what it needs.
No one should fight alone!
Nothing can separate our attachment to God.
