FEAR NOT
HOPE (Persisting in Prayer)
April 14, 2024
Main Scripture: Luke 18:1-8, Luke 13:12-17
Additional Scriptures: Genesis 3:10, 1 Thessalonians 5:17, Ephesians 6:18, Philippians 4:6, James 1:2-4, John 10:10, Luke 18:2-5, Romans 8:19-25, 1 John 3:6
POINTS:
We defeat fear together by anchoring in hope, attaching in faith, and driving out fear with love.
We are surrounded by the decay of sin, the atmosphere is filled with fear and satan’s vultures are circling.
Jesus tells us to pray and not give up when the vultures are circling.
Hopelessness is the fear of lack and it leads to an anchorless life.
Persistent prayer anchors us and gives the enemy no way to move us (1 Thessalonians 15:58).
Prayer is the filter that cleans the sin-filled air and attaches God’s presence to fear-filled situations.
We must pray our legal rights as God’s children.
The widow is mightier than the vultures that are circling her situation because she has the law on her side.
To pray your legal rights you must:
Have a relationship with Jesus Christ as your Savior.
You must forgive those who have hurt you.
You must know your legal rights.
