POINTS:
Jesus is King whether we want Him to be or not.
We are all looking for a human hope (a hero)
“Where we are forbidden to honor a king, we will honor millionaires, athletes, even gangsters. Spiritual nature like bodily nature will be served. Deny it food and it will gobble poison.” CS Lewis
Whatever you are living for that is what you are serving and have crowned as king.
We all have a memory trace of the King
Jesus comes into our lives to be King.
Some of our biggest problems are because the things we’ve have crowned as king in our lives are oppressing us.
Jesus has come to set the oppressed free (Luke 4:18)
Jesus comes in humility not to bring judgement but to bear it.
With Jesus as our King we find out who we really are, because He is our Creator.
We make Jesus our King through worship and obedience.
If we only obey when we understand, then what we have isn’t obedience it is agreement.
Jesus is the King who won’t oppress you.
He is either in our life as a King or He is not in our life at all.
