The Psalms: WTP

WTP (WHAT’S THE PLAN)

Pastor Hope Flask

March 30, 2025

Main Scripture: Psalm 25:1-12

Additional Scriptures: Ephesian 2:10, Hebrews 5:11-14, Psalm 46:10, Psalm 25:14, John 10:27

POINTS:

  • God has a plan for us.

  • Everything about us is designed by God and for God.

  • God brings ministry out of our messes and uses our experiences for evangelism.

  • We elevate prophecy because we want to know the plan.

  • We want guidance without the Guide.

  • The person God guides is talked about in the Bible more than how to get guidance.

  • Four attributes of a person guided by the Lord: saturated in scripture, humble, obedient, relaxed.

  • “Before I ask You about my way, I want to be saturated in Your way.”

  • Do we want the Guide before we want the Guidance?

  • Making decisions according to God’s will must be known before knowing what decisions to make.

  • Humility is a byproduct and not able to be worked on directly.

  • David’s humility was a byproduct of wanting God more than anything or anyone else.

  • Humility is a realistic view of ourselves which leads to selflessness.

  • Humility ties our identity to Christ’s performance.

  • Obedience is doing what God says in His word even when it doesn’t make sense.

  • Attributes for following God’s will should be the attributes you seek in counsel.
