POINTS:
Doubt is defined as a “big” feeling of uncertainty.
Spiritual vertigo is when we lose our balance in our walk in faith because of something we experience.
Doubt is characterized as “spiritual vertigo”.
It should be concerning to begin journeys with certainties.
Like a walking stick for times when our feet slip, the Bible is well-balanced.
Spiritual vertigo is not about reasoning.
Spiritual vertigo it is about what you see.
There are four things to do with doubt: doubt your doubts, go to church, choose the firmest place to put your foot, feel for God’s hand.
We must distill out of our doubts our own dishonesty.
There are always honest and dishonest parts of your doubt.
We get into our doubts through experience with people.
Experience with the people of God will help get us out of doubts.
Doubts are never choosing between belief and non-belief.
Doubts are choosing what to believe.
In our walk of faith we may not be able to prove God exists definitively, but we can’t prove that He doesn’t.
Everywhere you step is always an act of faith.
