POINTS:

• The Bible is the overarching story of the Lamb.

• We live in an individualistic culture, therefore, we struggle to comprehend the significance and symbolism of the Passover truly.

• In an individualistic culture, we either believe we have no debt against God or we assume that God's goodness requires forgiveness without judgment for sin.

• Forgiveness always requires payment.

• The Holy Spirit will bring us to trial and convict us of sin.

• The mental courtroom is where we place our performance and the performance of others on trial.

• In a mental courtroom, we are tortured by bitterness - bitterness destroys us by creating ruts in our brains - long-term bitterness creates strongholds.

• Our divine weapon against bitterness is forgiveness.

• Forgiveness is paying the debt someone owes us ourselves because we recognize that Jesus paid our debt.

• Forgiveness is intentionally putting the love of God over the doorpost of someone who has wronged you.

• There was no lamb on the table during the Passover supper with the disciples because Jesus was the Lamb at the table.
