Additional Scriptures: Romans 8:28, 12:2, 2 Corinthians 1:9, Hebrews 11:24-27, Mark 8:36, Ephesians 2:8-10

POINTS:

  • Transformation begins with repentance.

  • Our wilderness experiences turn us from relying on our own strength to relying on His power alone.

  • The Old Testament is a seed that we see grow and develop in the New Testament.

  • The Old Testament gives us an Illustration that we see in Principle in the New Testament.

  • Moses was a prince of two people groups.

  • Moses tries to function like an Israelite while still thinking like a pagan.

  • We all have a choice to make on what pattern we will follow - the pattern of the world, the pattern of the flesh, or the pattern of God’s will.

  • The pattern of the world is concerned with how things appear.

  • The pattern of the flesh is concerned about self (selfishness & self-righteousness)

  • The pattern of God’s will is concerned with God’s righteousness.

  • We learn from Moses that we can’t mess up our lives to the point that God can’t use and redeem us.
